Please take notice that the Bureau of General Services ("BGS"), c/o Department of Administrative and Financial Services, 77 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333 (tel. 207-624-7436), as owner, and NEWSME Landfill Operations, LLC ("NEWSME"), 2828 Bennoch Road, Old Town, Maine 04468 (tel. 207-862-4200), as operator, are intending to file with the City of Old Town Planning Board, on or about June 8, 2017, an application under the City of Old Town's Solid Waste Landfill Licensing Ordinance (Chapter 24). The application is for a 9.35 million cubic yard horizontal expansion of the Juniper Ridge Landfill and associated facilities located in Old Town, Maine on BGS-owned land. Juniper Ridge Landfill is owned by the State of Maine and operated by NEWSME. The facility's mailing address is 2828 Bennoch Road, Old Town, Maine 04468. Once the application has been accepted for processing, two copies of the application and supporting information will be on file with the City Clerk in the Old Town municipal office and an additional two copies will be available at the City Library, 46 Middle Street, Old Town, ME for review by the public.
