Request For Proposals (RFP) #T201803001
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) Supportive Service Program
The State of Maine Department of Transportation ("MaineDOT") is seeking proposals for
statewide consultant services that will provide technical assistance and business services to
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) certified by MaineDOT and pursuant to Federal 49
CFR 26 and 23 CFR Pt .230 Subpart B. This proposal is not to exceed $100,000.00.
This federally funded program will provide technical services and education related to federal
contracting expertise, computer and technical assistance, orientation for new DBEs and tuition
reimbursement; all with emphasis placed on increasing the total number of legitimate minority
business enterprises actively participating in the Federal Aid Highway Program.
MaineDOT also seeks to increase participation in our federally funded projects by increasing the
number of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms in Maine, pursuant to 49 CFR 26, that are
ready and able to work on MaineDOT projects, and to assist those businesses that do not
regularly participate in doing so while certifying new DBEs that are able to work on
transportation projects.
