The University of Southern Maine (USM) desires to procure architectural and engineering design services from individual firms or teams for the design of a new facility to be known as the [font=font36821]USM CENTER FOR THE ARTS (CFA)[/font] to be located on the USM Portland Campus. The project consists of the constructing a new Center for the Arts as a multi-use performance, visual arts and academic building intended to become the heart of performing and visual arts for USM and the neighboring community and is to be used for performances by the USM, local, state and national communities surrounding the disciplines of music, theater, ballet and opera. It is also intended for use by USM and local artists to showcase their work in public gallery spaces.
